Maybe
you're a supporter of public radio, a hunger organization,
your library or a religious support group. If so, you know
how crucial it is to fund these efforts.
In the case of the Gila River, many of us lead busy lives:
we can't attend the months of planning meetings and far-off
legislative committees that will decide the future of the
Gila. But when we come for our week-long hike in the fall
or spring, we want to know that the Gila will be there, and
be protected.
Give
some thought to what the Gila means to you, even if you've
never supported any organization of any kind before. Visiting
the Gila region might have become an annual pilgrimage for
you. Or else your one visit was so magical and special that
you will remember it fondly for the rest of your life. Maybe
you fell in love with your partner on a hike here. Maybe you
re-discovered yourself under a juniper tree.
The fact is, you play an absolutely crucial role in preserving
the Gila forever with your kind financial support of the Gila
Conservation Coalition's efforts. We DO attend the months
of planning meetings. We DO go to the far-off legislative
committees. Your role is to make sure we have the funding
to keep the effort going without let-up. Why? Because the
voices that would divert the Gila are unlikely to let up.
That means for right to win over might, we must never take
our eye off the ball.
With
a minimum $10 donation, we will send you updates on the Gila
River issue. If you can afford to give $25, $50 or even $1,000,
you can be sure that your contributions will be used to keep
the Gila wild forever.
