Travel Time


From Silver City to the Cliff-Gila Valley - ~30 miles, or 40 minutes.

From Silver City to Gila Headwaters Area (Lake Roberts, Gila Hotsprings, Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument) - ~40 miles, or 1.5 hours.

Festival Food

Lunch and snacks will be available from a variety of food vendors set-up in the Doc Campbell's Post parking lot on Sunday from 11am-1:30 pm. Doc Campbell's Post also has a selection of snacks and refrigerated items.

Lodging and Restaurants

In Silver City, a wide variety of options are available. See the Silver City-Grant County Chamber of Commerce: www.silvercity.org

In the Gila Headwaters Area, a number of camping, lodging and dining options are available. See the Trail of the Mountains Spirits National Scenic Byway: www.tmsbyway.com

For additional camping, see the Gila National Forest: www.fs.fed.us/r3/gila. The Upper Scorpion, Lower Scorpion, Forks and Grapevine Campgrounds are all within ~5 miles of the Gila Cliff Dwellings Visitor Center.

Organized in 1984 to protect the free flow of the Gila and San Francisco Rivers and the wilderness characteristics of the Gila and Aldo Leopold Wilderness areas, the Gila Conservation Coalition (GCC) is a partnership of local environmental and conservation groups and concerned individuals that promote conservation of the Upper Gila River Basin and surrounding lands.
