To kick off Earth Day weekend, join us on Friday, April 17 at the Buckhorn Saloon & Opera House at 6:30 pm for a screening of the film
Wrenched about how Edward Abbey lit the flame of environmental activism and gave the movement its soul. Footage of Ed Abbey himself and interviews with environmentalists, such as Dave Foreman of Earth First, Tim DeChristopher who went to prison calling attention to the climate crisis through his purchase of a BLM oil and gas lease, Colorado River protector Katie Lee, Center for Biological Diversity co-founder Kieran Suckling and many more.

We’ll also be auctioning off the Don Musser/Dan Swanson guitar that night, so make sure to purchase a raffle ticket online or stop by the GCC office at 305A North Cooper. Tickets are $50 and only 100 tickets will be sold. No need to be present to win. All proceeds from the guitar raffle will go towards efforts to protect the Gila River.
